Our brilliant Sixth Form Charity Committee recently organised and ran a bake sale in aid of Dementia UK, raising an amazing £136.63.
The lovely cakes, donated by students and staff, were a complete sell out as they flew off the shelves during break.
Dementia is a term for a range of progressive conditions that affect the brain. Dementia damages the nerve cells in the brain so messages cannot be sent from and to the brain effectively, preventing the body from functioning normally. People with dementia need expert one-to-one care and support and this is what the Dementia charity aims to provide. Find out more about Dementia UK here.
Thank you to everyone who donated and well done to the students who organised the event.
