On Friday 28 June, Year 13 students arrived at their sixth form leavers ball dressed to impress and ready to celebrate the end of their time at Ashington Academy.
On arrival at St James Park, students made their way to the Gallowgate Suite where they were greeted with a non-alcoholic cocktail before sitting down to a beautiful three-course meal.
After the meal, staff and student awards were presented by Mr Taylor followed by a touching speech delivered by Ms Bell, highlighting funny moments over the last two years. It was then time for students and staff to let their hair down on the dance floor.
It was a lovely evening and a very memorable event to conclude students’ time at Ashington Academy. We wish all students the best of luck in their future endeavours.
