With the countdown firmly on to summer exams, we are delighted to announce our comprehensive package for Year 11 revision. Behind the scenes, we have been busily working to update our online Student POD package in line with exam updates announced on Monday 7 February.
As part of this package, parents and students will be able to access a range of resources, including subject-specific revision materials but also – and here’s the really important bit - strategies that will show them how to revise. Although many students revise, they can sometimes use ineffective strategies such as re-reading notes and highlighting. Our revision strategy package aims to support students to revise 'smarter', so they save time and remember more.
Every week in assembly, we will launch a different revision strategy which students can then try with their tutors in Thursday registration. There is an accompanying video for each strategy that students and parents can access from Student POD to practise from home. After that, they can wind down with an activity from our new wellbeing section, safe in the knowledge that they have worked 'smart'!
As ever, we are really proud of our students and want to celebrate their many, many successes.
