We are absolutely delighted to announce the Bee-ology Club's fantastic success as winner of the Best School/Business Award in the Ashington Gardens Competition 2022!
Earlier in the year, we shared news of the group's work in improving the school environment and supporting biodiversity in the school grounds. Projects undertaken by the group included planting bulbs, growing flowers from seed, cultivating our garden area from scratch, filling pots to display around school, and building bird and bug houses.
The judges commended students for their excellent efforts and hard work with the following comments:
- Our garden is in its early stages but already attracting plenty of insects, as well as the colourful planters in the courtyard.
- You can tell that there has been a lot of hard work and dedication put into preparing the garden, with plans for more sustainable planting and a greenhouse.
We cannot wait to see what they go onto achieve in our beautiful gardens next year!
