Debbie Reape

In 2017, Debbie retired after working for 38 years in the NHS as a nurse, latterly as Director of Nursing on the board at Northumbria NHS Trust. As a children's' nurse and senior leader in the NHS, Debbie has always had an interest in the health and welfare of children and young people, in particular young people with long term conditions including emotional and mental health, plus an interest in keeping children safe and safeguarding.

Debbie is very pleased to have joined the local academy as a governor to support the pupils and staff, and the future development of the Academy. She is specifically interested in how children and young people can reach their full potential.

Debbie continues to be interested in health and social care and currently holds a non-executive director post at South Tees NHS Trust.

Debbie lives in Newcastle and enjoys golf, regular gym visits, travelling, reading and socialising with friends in her spare time.
