Head Girl

"Hi, I’m Ella and I am a member of the Student Leadership Team. My favourite subjects are English and history because I have always loved to learn how humanity has developed through time. One of my favourite texts is ‘An Inspector Calls’ because of the suspense and tension. You also study this play in your English GCSE course. My other favourite book is Five Go Down to the Sea which is part of the Famous Five series by Enid Blyton.

In Year 10, I was a Sports Ambassador and would help out at Hockey Club. I have also helped out at other clubs such as History Club and Debate Club. Here at Ashington Academy, we always try to encourage students to participate and get involved, whether this is through attending a club or putting your hand up to answer a question in a lesson!

One of my favourite things to do outside of school is travel. Some of my favourite places to visit are Scotland and the Lake District. A place I really want to visit in the future is Italy because of its amazing architecture and history. Another thing I enjoy doing outside of school is playing cricket. Every Thursday night in the summer season I attend Alnmouth cricket club, and I also play for the Ladies’ Softball team and compete in matches. In the future, I hope I can participate in hard ball matches. Another future goal is to become a journalist and hopefully inspire people to become a better individual.

Never hesitate to come and find me if you are worried with anything or if you are feeling anxious about something; I will always be happy to help!"
